## Widget Types

### Floating Widget

The floating widget offers the most customization options — including style, design, shape, position, logo, colors, and custom CSS. It is not constrained to a fixed location and can be positioned in any corner of the viewport, making it the most flexible option for most website designs.

### Button Widget

The button widget is a simple, unobtrusive option with no configurable design settings. It displays as a straightforward button and is suited for interface designs where minimal visual impact is preferred.

### Hyperlink Widget

The hyperlink widget displays as a text link with no additional configuration options. Like the button type, it suits minimalist interface designs where a low-profile privacy entry point is preferred.

## Reset and Preview

### Reset

Use the **Reset** option to revert all widget settings to their default state — useful if you want to start customization from scratch or undo changes that are not producing the desired result.

### Preview

The preview feature lets you view the widget's approximate appearance across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports. Switch to full screen for a larger view. Note that the preview provides an approximate rendering and may not be 100% identical to the live widget on all browsers and devices.

## Floating Widget Configuration

### Style

Choose how the floating widget content is displayed — options include icon only, text only, or a combination of text and icon. Test different combinations to find what works best for your audience and page layout.

### Design

Configure the floating widget's visual design and position:

- **Location:** Choose which corner of the page the widget appears in — top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right

- **Shape:** Select from smooth, sharp, or round widget shapes

- **Logo:** Use the default Secure Privacy logo, a cookie icon, a fingerprint icon, or upload a fully custom logo

For advanced customization, upload a custom logo or apply **Custom CSS** to fine-tune every design detail — ensuring the widget is fully aligned with your website's visual style.

### Color

Adjust the widget's text color and background color independently to match your brand palette. These settings apply to the floating widget and update the live preview immediately when changed.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Which widget type should I choose?

Use the **Floating** widget if you want full visual control and want the privacy entry point to be persistently visible across your site. Use the **Button** or **Hyperlink** types if you prefer a minimal, low-profile entry point and do not need design customization beyond the default appearance.

### Can I use my own logo in the floating widget?

Yes. In the Design settings for the floating widget, select the custom logo option and upload your own image. This replaces the default Secure Privacy logo, cookie, or fingerprint icon with your brand's visual identity.

### Will custom CSS override the default widget styles entirely?

Custom CSS is applied on top of the widget's default styles unless you also enable the Replace Default CSS option. To override everything and apply a completely custom stylesheet, enable Replace Default CSS — otherwise, your custom rules will be applied additively over the existing defaults.
