## Step 1 – Get Your Secure Privacy Script Code

1.  After activating your Secure Privacy account, you will be prompted to choose an installation method.
    
2.  Select **Joomla**.

3.  Copy the script code displayed on screen and save it somewhere accessible.
    
4.  Keep this tab open and open a new tab to proceed with the Joomla plugin installation.
    

## Step 2 – Install the Secure Privacy Joomla Plugin

3.  Under **Install**, click **Extensions**. An upload area will appear.

4.  Click **Browse for file** and upload the downloaded `.zip` plugin file.
    
5.  On a successful upload, Joomla will display: _Installation of the plugin was successful._ Click **Manage Extensions**.

6.  Search for **Secure Privacy** and click the icon in the **Status** column to enable the extension. A confirmation message will appear.

7.  Go back to **System** and click **Plugins** under **Manage**.

8.  Use the search box to find **Secure Privacy**.

10.  Save your changes. Joomla will confirm with a _Plugin saved._ message.

## Step 3 – Verify the Installation in Secure Privacy

1.  Switch back to the Secure Privacy onboarding tab.
    
2.  Click **Test Installation** to verify the Joomla plugin is correctly connected.
