[CMP v1] How to Enable Cross Domain Consent in Secure Privacy

Cross domain consent helps collect user consent across multiple domains using a single cookie banner. This improves user experience when users navigate between different websites or sub-domains. Watch this video to see how it works:

Important Legal Considerations

When propagating the same consent across multiple domains, ensure you comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations. It is strongly recommended to consult your legal team to verify that cross-domain consent sharing meets jurisdictional requirements.

Steps to Enable Cross-Domain Consent

  1. Install the Secure Privacy script on all domains of the same consent group.
  2. Go to All Domains and open the Settings page.
  3. Scroll right to find the Domain Consent Group column.
  4. Edit the Domain Consent Group for each domain where cross-domain consent is needed.
  5. Make sure the group label is the same for all domains in the group, e.g., GroupA.
  6. Save your changes. Cross-domain consent is now enabled.
