How to Install Secure Privacy on Joomla

Getting the Secure Privacy Script Code
- After activating your email address, you will see a screen to choose your preferred installation method.
- Select Joomla.
- Copy the script code displayed on the screen and save it in any location that is accessible.
- Keep the tab open and open a new tab to continue with the Joomla plugin installation.
Installing Joomla Plugin
- Download the Secure Privacy Joomla Plugin.
- In Joomla administrator mode (usually at
www.yourJoomlaWebsite.com/administrator
), go to System. - Under Install, click Extensions. You will see an option to upload files.
- Click Browse for file and upload the downloaded .zip plugin file.
- If installation is successful, you will see: Installation of the plugin was successful. Then click Manage Extensions.
- Search for Secure Privacy and click the icon under the Status column to enable the extension. You will get a confirmation message.
- Go back to System and click Plugins under Manage.
- Search for Secure Privacy using the provided search box.
- Click the plugin name to open configuration. Paste the script you copied earlier into the installation script field.
Note: If you are accessing this tutorial when adding a new domain from Secure Privacy Dashboard, copy the script code from the Installation screen. - Save your changes. You will see a message: Plugin saved.
Continue Secure Privacy Setup
- Return to the Secure Privacy onboarding tab.
- Click Test Installation.
- Look for the toast notification at the bottom-left of the screen confirming a successful Joomla plugin installation.
Common Issues & Fixes
- Plugin does not appear after installation.
- Ensure the zip file was correctly uploaded and the installation success message was received.
- Unable to enable the plugin.
